# Blockscout Admin Panel Usage for Hosted Explorers

> Use the Blockscout admin panel to add custom tags, verify contract ownership, approve and update tokens, and manage metadata on hosted instances.

<Warning>
  **The Admin Panel is only available to Blockscout Hosted Clients**. It allows admin access to create custom tags, verify contract ownership, review approve, and update tokens, and display additional meta information in the explorer.

  The Admin Panel is activated via the `ADMIN_PANEL_ENABLED` env by the Blockscout team, it will not work for self-hosted versions.
